Muscles connecting with ‘Tools with a Mission’ and ‘Kick4life’ to help young people in Lesotho.

Muscles for Charity is pleased to be associated with two international registered charities that are now working together to help young people in Africa.

TWAM

UK based, Tools with a Mission (TWAM) has three decades experience of collecting and refurbishing tools and equipment no longer required in the UK and sending them overseas, primarily to Africa, where it enables people to earn a living and support themselves.

Muscles co-founder and Master woodworker Bernie Morgan has a passion for tools and introduced the UK volunteers to TWAM several years ago.  Muscles for Charity actively supports TWAM by collecting unwanted tools and equipment from recipients of our projects and delivering them to the Charity’s Ipswich warehouse.

KICK4Life

Kick4life uses the power of sport to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged young people in the world.

Kick4life is a registered charity based at the Football for Hope Centre in Lesotho, South Africa, where it delivers a range of projects aimed at supporting vulnerable boys and girls. This includes health education and HIV prevention, life skills development, mentoring, support towards education and the chance to enjoy sport.

The charity is passionate about promoting and raising the awareness of sport for positive change and is committed to helping their participants build a bright future for themselves and their country.

All three groups are now working together to explore ways of providing support and equipment to young people in Lesotho.

Muscles volunteers, (or visitors to the site) interested in learning more about either of the registered charities and especially their overseas work are invited to contact any of the representatives.

Muscles for Charity – simple concept, internationally successful.

On completion of their training the students are provided with a complete tradesman’s kit or tailoring kit.  A full list of the tools they would like to be donated can be found on the website at http://www.twam.co.uk
