Muscles volunteers proudly display the results of a mornings hard work in Kate Lacey’s rural Suffolk garden. Team work, good humour, professional skills and great company combined to transform the garden and install the new slabs and garden features to Kate’s complete satisfaction.
“The guys and girls (all eleven of them!) did a fantastic job” Kate’s comment on the transformation in her rear garden. Her association with the Muscles for Charity team dates back to the very early days. 360 completed projects, and 12,800 voluntary hours later, the team continue to pride themselves on ‘helping other people, “provided a donation is made to a registered charity’.
The chosen charity, ‘Bobby on a Bike’ was founded by Neil Smith and Muscles stalwart, the late Tony Spry. http://www.bobbyonabike.com
During the last decade Muscles teams have included parent and daughter duos, Elaine and Charlotte, Adam, Katie and Rachel plus Cheshire based John and Victoria. For the second consecutive week the Sudbourne project featured two father and son combinations.
This week the combinations were Kevin and David Farnworth and Alan and Will Townsend. Last week at Stowmarket, Nick and George Bentley joined Alan and Will.
Thanks everyone.
