Introducing Judy Barlup, octogenarian and Sewing Queen from Bellevue, WA, USA. After thirty years of teaching sewing and tailoring internationally, Judy decided to sell off her unique collection of quilts, sewing fabric, kimono’s, books, equipment and more and invited Muscles for Charity volunteers to assist during a two day ‘Gone out of Business’ sale that involved months of planning and preparation.
During the weekend sale Judy met dozens of former students and American Sewing Guild members, and managed time to show her personal version of ‘muscles’ to some of the volunteers !
Before the event Joie commented, “Can’t wait! No weeding, no painting, and great company. Perfect Muscles project!”
She and none of the team were disappointed.
While fabric, sewing accessories and assorted bargains were being snapped up by excited customers, Frank and Bish completed repairs to the poolside patio !
Muscles assistance before and throughout the two day sale drew generous praise from a delighted Judy Barlup. “I just read the latest on Muscles for Charity and am moved beyond words. And I mean that literally. My heart is overflowing..
Great job everybody and cracking quote from Joie !
