Several tens of thousands of people hit the pavement on Sunday 1st May 2016 for the 40th annual, 12 kilometre (7.46 miles) event, which is open to all runners, walkers, wheelchairs, assisted wheelchairs and strollers.
Nine Muscles volunteers registered for the event and all those that started completed the course is less than 2 hrs 16 minutes. Its a fun event, as depicted in this group of Muscles representatives, led by race specialists Neal and Jenny Skaufel who have competed in three quarters of the 40 events.
Becky, Jenny, Bish, Neal, Amy and Steve decided not to compete with the exotic costumes worn by some of the competitors on a hot and sunny spring Sunday.
