‘Captain Johan’ leads a mixed UK and Belgium team as the Muscles volunteers relax after 150 hours of work in the rural Belgian countryside.
Over a decade the Belgian Muscles for Charity team have built an international reputation for outstanding hospitality, friendship and fun.
The 2016 weekend was no exception, and involved work close to the hosts Cabin and at the nearby Tongerlo Abbey, where the Prior and the Brothers added their personal thanks.
Muscles co- founder Bernie Morgan summed up the visitors appreciation, “they gave us a fantastic welcome, plus the food, company, location ,accommodation and of course the copious amounts of local brew. I know that each and every one of us had a great time and we will take away unforgettable memories to cherish.”
Two first’s from the Belgian’s, Evelien sings with the Black Capri’s and Ann drives the Abbey tractor, causing the males to drop to their knees in salute !
International friendship and fun
In addition to time in the countryside, new and returning Muscles volunteers enjoyed touring the medieval City of Lier, under Rob’s guidance.
