THE BRITISH INVASION – SEPTEMBER 2017
Another Muscles for Charity first !! Seattle Sounders played LA Galaxy at Century Link Field on Sunday 10th September. At half time the electronic stadium message boards featured ‘Groups and Associations at the game’, including ‘Muscles for Charity’. The UK and US Muscles volunteers sitting in the 73,000 seater stadium were surprised and impressed.

Plus special moments involving exceptional people from the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Including 94 year ‘Living Legend’ WW2 pilot, Dick Nelms who flew 35 missions from RAF Rattlesden and indigenous tribal members Mary Jane Topash and Swil Kalim.
An introduction to Baseball/Softball, courtesy of ‘Recreational players’ from Kirkland, was a highlight for the British visitors. Especially their introduction to an 85 year old local Pitcher who has the leagues MVP last season !
RESIDENCE X11 – SUMMER 2017 – KIRKLAND, WA
Smiles all round on a sunny Saturday in June when Muscles volunteers tackled a pressure washing project for a non profit in Kirkland, WA.
The invitation involved cleaning the area outside main reception and a communal area at the rear of the buildings which included a stepped concrete terrace as shown below –
Three pressure washers in use at the front and area of the buildings over a six hour period revitalized the areas and drew praise from management and residents.
The ‘Design Team’ (Sheri and Joie) prepared ideas to transformed the tiered terrace.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to another very successful project.
